Former Spurs defender Michael Dawson believes Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia would be a great replacement for Manchester City’s midfield in the absence of Rodri.

The 21-year-old came through City’s academy but fail to break into the first-team picture and has sold to Southampton, where he impressed enough for the Blues to splash out £58m on his signature, with Dawson seeing him หรือถ้าคุณสนใจแทงบอลออนไลน์ UFABET คือเว็บที่มีอัตราต่อรองดีที่สุดในประเทศไทย สมัครเลยตอนนี้ที่ UFABET แทงบอล as the ideal replacement for Rodri in Pep Guardiola’s midfield.
Lavia isn’t the only former Man City player to have enjoyed success at another Premier League club. With Cole Palmer and Liam Delap both having impressed since leaving the Etihad Stadium. And Dawson believes Lavia would be an excellent replacement for City’s time without Rodri.
“You look at the players who have left Manchester City… I’m a big fan of Cole Palmer,” Dawson told Sky Sports. “He’s played a lot there. You look at Lavia there, Liam Delap, will these players have the chance to play for Manchester City and show their full potential? I’m not so sure.”
“It’s easy to see him go and do something – Lavia is one of the guys who fits Manchester City and the way they play when Rodri is gone.”
“I like what he did, he went to Southampton, was brilliant, then he had a bad injury. He went to Chelsea and had a difficult time with injury. But when he come back he was the perfect fit for Manchester City.
“But they saw these players on the pitch and of course they were far from being in the first team. So the team brought in other players.
“People don’t agree that Cole Palmer is the right deal. I still think he’s someone Pep needs to keep because I’ve seen him play for Manchester City many times and he should have had more chances.”
