Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola believes Phil Foden has what it takes to play for City until he retires.

Foden was on fire, scoring twice in Manchester City’s 6-0 Premier League win at Ipswich Town on Sunday, making it five goals in his last three games, taking his โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที tally to nine goals and four assists in all competitions.
Guardiola is keen to see Foden commit his future to the Etihad Stadium for a few more years after star striker Erling Haaland signed a new nine-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2034.
“He shouldn’t go anywhere. He can be a one-club man, finish his career here and play for many years,” Guardiola said of Foden, who is contract to Manchester City until 2027.
The ongoing season has been far from straight forward for Foden, who has struggled to find the form of the last campaign that won him the Premier League’s Player of the Season award for the first time.
“We talked many times in the last month and he’s completely different than the beginning of the season,” said Guardiola.
“He struggled a lot with many problems, and in a long career sometimes you have setbacks. It’s normal. But we’re really please he’s happy again, enjoying playing.”
Foden, 24, is currently in his eighth season at Manchester City and has made 295 appearances for Guardiola’s first-team, scoring 96 goals in all competitions. The 2022-23 season saw the club win the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.
