Borussia Dortmund defender Niklas Sule is set to be out for another two to three months after suffering another ankle injury.
Borussia Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin revealed on Tuesday that Niklas Sule will be out for several months with an ankle injury sustaine in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach, according to Ufabet Germany.
‘Unfortunately we don’t have good news about ‘Nicky’ (Niklas Sule). He will be out for two or three months. He has a serious injury,’ said Şahin.
‘It’s the same injury as before, it’s very unfortunate that someone falls down and in the same spot twice, it hurts a lot, we needed ‘Nicky’ a lot, I think he played well again at Gladbach.’
Şahin has confirm that both Valdemar Anton and Filippo Mane will also miss Wednesday’s clash with Barcelona. Meaning he could be force to field Emre Can at centre-back alongside Nico Schlotterbeck. Key midfielder Julian Brandt will also miss the game. While Maximilian Beier and Karim Adeyemi are still awaiting assessment on their fitness.
‘We have a little hope that Maxi (Bayer) will be fit tomorrow, or at the latest for the Hoffenheim game. We will see tomorrow.
